PLAYER-VERSE
A social network for people who play: communities per game, private groups, clips and builds, events, and a profile with your library.
It started as a final school project. It ended up getting me my first job offer and teaching me how this actually works.

Why a social network
Because it forced me to touch everything: frontend, backend, database and design. And because generic networks don't understand gaming culture.
Months of nights and weekends. I finished it working, all of it.

The offer
ClusterITMX saw it and offered to turn it into a product: rename it to DMX and launch it. Formal interview and everything. For a student, that was huge. I said yes.
The interview is still on YouTube. Watching it now, knowing how it ended, is something.

What they don't teach you at school
I spent months building DMX. New features, redesign, improvements. I never saw a peso.
"The money comes when we launch." "We're in the investment phase." "Trust the process."
I walked away and kept my code. That's what I took from this, and it's worth more than the project: if the payment is always in the future, the work is free and that's that. Now I ask up front, not after.
